Valeric Acid

Valeric acid, is used as a sex attractant of the sugar beet wireworm, Limonius californicus. It is used predominantly as an intermediate in the manufacture of flavors and perfumes, ester type lubricants, plasticizers and vinyl stabilizesrs.
