It acts as an intermediate for quaternary ammonium compounds and is also used as a stabilizer for chlorinated hydrocarbons and vinyl derivatives. It is used in foundries as a catalyst for sand core production. Further, it is employed in the polymerization of polyamides. In addition to this, it is used in the preparation of polypeptide nanogels with self-reinforced endocytoses.
