Azure B is used for staining semi-thin sections of plant tissue. This dye is also useful in the NCCLS method for blood smears and Lillie's modified Nocht's method for paraffin sections.

Applications

Solubility
Soluble in 1 mg/ml water. Sparingly soluble in alcohol.
